permission to grow at your own pace
I am not what you would call “outdoorsy” by any stretch of the imagination, yet I am endlessly inspired by nature.
I have always been particularly enamored by tree rings. Like stop, stare, take a photo, ponder the mysteries of life enamored.
Seeing the unique patterns of growth in tree rings remind me that things grow at their own pace. On their own timelines. And that reminder gives me permission and grace to do the same.
And so when I was drifting off to sleep one night and an image of colorful patterned stylized tree rings crossed my consciousness, I woke up the next morning and started cutting paper.
I made so so many (maybe 30?!) but these are the nine favorites that I mounted, scanned and uploaded to my print shop.
I hope they remind you that — you too — are right where you need to be.
